The versatility of the biological activity of Dorynum upon its administration allows not only to correct the immune deficiency, but also to optimize the functioning of the whole system and to ensure its adequate interaction with other systems of the body. One of the most urgent and most important problems in modern animal husbandry are respiratory diseases of viral etiology in cattle, such as: infectious rhinotracheitis (IRT), parainfluenza-3 (PI-3), viral diarrhea (VD) and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), causing significant economic damage to farms. As a result of the immunosuppressive effects of various pathogens (viruses, bacteria, fungi), the overall resistance of the body decreases and their sensitivity to other diseases increases. Loss of livestock occurs, and economic efficiency indicators decline. To overcome this situation, post-vaccination antibiotic therapy of livestock is carried out.

In order to study the effectiveness of Dorynum, the following studies were carried out at “1 May” dairy complex in Belovsky district of the Kursk region. Dorynum was administered simultaneously with the first injection of the IRT and PI-3 vaccines produced by ARRIAH. The first vaccine was administered on the 15th day of life, the second - 14 days after the first. Control of antibody titers was performed on the 14th day after the second administration of vaccine. Infectious rhinotracheitis, viral diarrhea and respiratory syncytial virus were checked RNTGA, and parainfluenza - in RZGA.

As can be seen from the data presented in Table 1, the antibody titer in the experimental group of calves, where Dorynum was administered, was 1.5-3 times higher than in the control group.

Calves mortality caused by respiratory viral infections has sharply increased in recent years in “1 May” farm. The task was to improve anti-epizootic measures carried out at the farm. For these purposes, Dorynum was included into the set of measures.
As can be seen from Table 2, in the group of calves that did not use Dorynum, the mortality level was 19.1%, and the survivability was 80.9%. In the group that administered Dorynum the mortality level was only 3.9% and the survivability rose to 96.1%. Comparison of data shows that in the experimental group where Dorynum was administered, the mortality caused by respiratory infections of the viral etiology decreased by 15.2%. Thus, as a result of our research, we can draw the following conclusions: - there is a need for a clear regulation for establishing diagnosis of viral diseases according to the guidelines. In many farms where cows are vaccinated during the dry period, antibiotic therapy after vaccination is not carried out; - the use of Dorynum can improve calf survivability, reduce the cost of treatment in case disease and increase the profitability of production accordingly.
