It was noted that preventive treatment of zero age chickens by Dorynum guarantees the absence of mass mortality in the future, and in some cases is more effective than antiviral vaccination of the livestock (Rostov Region, Belokalitvenskaya Poultry farm).

Treatment of livestock with Dorynum during the outbreak of Marek's disease, confirmed by clinical and anatomico-pathological data, allowed veterinary specialists of the Novosibirsk region (Karasuk district) to stop the infection. For these purposes, the drug in the form of intramuscular injections of 2 mg/kg was administered for 5 days. Similar results were achieved in the treatment of viral rhinotracheitis and Gumboro disease.

The veterinary station of Michurinsk widely uses Dorynum for medicinal purposes to combat Marek’s disease and considers the drug the most effective mean to combat this pathology.

In Mozdok, in a private peasant farm, there was a case of treatment of Marek’s disease in chicks below 0.5 kg and in adult poultry (1-1.5 kg) with a freeze-dried injection powder of Dorynum. The drug was mixed into the feed, as well as dissolved in water and input in the beak of a sick poultry at the rate of 5.5 mg/kg for 6 days. Almost the entire population was successfully saved.

In a number of poultry farms on the basis of their own long-term experience, a certain system of using Dorynum has been developed. For instance, the Proletarskaya poultry farm (Rostov region) uses the drug for preventive treatment against pathogens of bacterial infections in chicks of critical age (1-10 days) at the dosage recommended by the manufacturer for 5 days. Treatment is usually performed only once.

In other farms (Vologda region) such treatment is carried out within 3 days and repeated with an interval of 6 months.

Verkhnevolzhskaya poultry farm (Tver) has the experience of oral administration of Dorynum to chicks (39,000 birds). The drug was administered for prophylactic purposes at the rate of 120 mg/kg of body weight. The poultry not treated with the drug was used as a control. As a result, it was revealed that the morbidity in the experimental group was 3 times lower than in the untreated poultry. A higher weight gain of the treated group was registered upon rearing of the birds.

On the initiative of one of the poultry farm’s management an experiment was conducted in the republic of Mari El: two groups of zero age chicks were treated with Dorynum and enroflox for prophylactic purposes. The survival rate of the poultry in the first case was 95.5 %, and in the second - 94.5 %. Despite the same cost of treatment, preference was given to Dorynum in view of the breadth of its spectrum of action and ease of use.

Numerous cases of effective treatment of streptococcal and staphylococcal infections with Dorynum have been recorded. Such as at the Illichevsk poultry farm (Novoshakhtinsk, Rostov Region), where after treatment of 3-week-old chicks, the mortality rate decreased by 30%, while the pathogen turned out to be insensitive to fluoroquinolones. Similar results were obtained at the Krasnodon poultry farm (Rostov region).

Numerous consumers note the high effectiveness of Dorynum against a wide range of bacterial and viral infections, emphasize the lack of the irritating action of the drug, the versatility, gentleness, systematicity of its effect on the body, and prefer Dorynum to other antibiotics (Vologda, Perm, Kaluga, Rostov regions).

I liked Dorynum very much. Treated 29,000 animals, only 9 died, with a similar treatment with Enroflox, the mortality level was 500 animals. Rostov region. Rostov region, PF Belokalitvenskaya, November 2006.

The use of Dorynum significantly reduced the mortality after vaccination Leningrad region. PF Primorskaya, October 2005.
